Located in a suburb of tech country, Grace's architecture gleams of mid-century modern charm. However, the 70-year-old property needed upkeep and repurposing of spaces for better community engagement and AV upgrades. This was somewhat of a general approach to capital campaign fundraising. The more substantial response, the more Grace Lutheran would be able to do. Therefore, the capital campaign theme was "Generations of Grace." Our client's "generations to come" focus inspired giving generously for their campus to remain a blessed legacy. Also, their tithing increases would support the needs of ELCA Ministry Partners, local helping ministries, and Global Lutheran partners.
Our clients requested for the look and feel of their church capital campaign materials to be somewhat minimal. Adhering to Grace's specs, we responded by elevating their celebration of 70-years and crafting a style that would "effortlessly" appeal to all ages. Specifically for their community, things need to appear understatedly affirmed with class. Here's how it turned out...
10 Campaign Material Examples of Legacy-Focused Church Capital Fundraising
Logos for Church capital campaign Themes- The "Generations of Grace" logo was crafted to be a badge. We used fine repeating elements and plus symbols from their church logo to express generational progression. The elegant trim was paired with a high-integrity font pairing to carry the legacy of the title and "70 years of growth" tagline. Notably, most of "today's clean/minimal/modern" might have hints of art deco, mid-century, or Bauhaus- unless we applied more trendy effects, techniques, and futuristic elements, which would not appeal to an all-ages.
Color Palette for Capital Campaigns- It was important for the campaign to feel classically contemporary. The palette mixed traditional base colors and radiant hues for a vintage/modern appeal.
Campaign Booklets for Case Statements- Continuing the logo's elegance, we implemented straightforward curved shapes, jewelry-like trim, clean lines, and high-contrast color throughout the booklet design. The bold outlined typography adds a modern art perspective to balance with traditional elements for an all-age appeal.
Church Capital Campaign Package Envelope- The booklet, pledge card, and return envelope are mailed to members within this package envelope. All of these elements were the core of Grace's communications strategy. These are the essential tools for inspiring generous giving. The professionally detailed content and design often usher congregations to realize the vision and goals better.
Capital Campaign Pledge Cards & Return Envelopes- Mailed along with the case statement brochures, this pledge card design prompted each member to consider their contributions and keep them top-of-mind. And the matching return envelope not only assured that hundreds of pledges were mailed to the correct address, but it also fundamentally made individual commitments more official.
Letterhead & Envelope Sets for Church Capital Fundraising- Any official statements, notifications, or updates were submitted as personalized letters from Grace's leadership. This pair of capital campaign materials made their content more identifiable and relevant while boosting engagement for the campaign duration.
Invite Cards & Envelopes for Church Capital Campaign Events- In step with Grace's specs for a minimalist design, this pair of invitation materials kept things simple and uncluttered. Only a handful of bright and airy essential elements were used to focus their invite message and call to action.
Thank You Cards for Capital Campaign Communications- Continuing the bright and airiness of the invite cards, this postcard design served as the perfect palette for our client to craft personalized messages with "Grace."
