Lincoln City Church (Lincoln, NE) is a fast-growing church that needed a fresher look to coincide with its new membership, mission, and vision. Their story is a genuine example of people coming together. With a church family comprised of various nationalities, personal backgrounds, age groups, they felt it was imperative for their new church logo and brand identity system to focus on the "city" aspect. Particularly, they wanted their main mark to be an isolated "C." This style of combination mark would also serve as the symbol for their sub-ministries. Lastly, a specific color green (#3FBC9E) had to be included in their church branding. This color was used within recent building upgrades. Therefore, it needed to be "grandfathered" into the new church brand guidelines.
Adhering to their specifications, we created a progressive design across various church brand deliverables. We aimed to portray their "A Place For Everyone" mission with aesthetics that exude a "forward-looking" and "new horizons" vibe. Some of the highlights include: a clean silhouette styled double "C," sharp high-vibrancy image applications, half-circle brand shapes, and subtle use of a geometric texture and cityscape illustration of Lincoln, NE.
